The Management Development Program (MDP) is an intense specific training program designed to create future hotel leaders and to prepare them with a structured and systematic pattern workflow.
The primary objective of this program is to increase the level of managerial skills and the abilities of participants, allowing those within the organization to be more creative and innovative. Each stage of the program will give participants the opportunity to explore several management roles and enhance their management skills and techniques according to those respective roles. Following this process, participants will have attained the proficiency necessary to conduct a broad range of hospitality managerial skills and to make responsible strategic decisions.
This program is designed to accelerate the potential individual and to provide a fast track towards developing future hotel leaders. (GM, EAM, HM, RM).
The graduate of the program will have a priority to fill an available post within the PHM HOTELS property.
PARTICIPANT & RECRUITMENT PROCESS
Who is eligible to participate on this Management Development Program?
All Department Heads, Heads of Divisions and Senior Managers are eligible to enroll on Management Development Program.
What are the requirements?
- Candidate must already work at PHM HOTELS for at least one year.
- Candidate must have experiences as Department Heads or Head of Divisions in the industry for at least 2 (two) years.
- The latest appraisal Result.
- Candidate is willing to be Bond after completing the Program for 24 (twenty four) months.

Recruitment Procedures
- GM and HR hotel will select candidate/s to participate in this Management Development Program and propose to HC PHM Corporate Office
- Candidate must undergo the assessment process that will be done by Hotel and PHM HOTELS.
- Candidate must attend interview by PHM HOTELS selection team
- PHM HOTELS selection team will select and confirm final candidate/s for Management Development Program
- PHM HOTELS selection team has a final right to issue the application status (Acceptance or Rejection).

Roles & Responsibilities
The Stakeholder of this program:
- Program Owner – PHM HOTELS
- Program Facilitator – VP Human Capital
- Participant – The Staff who is attending the program
- Participant Facilitator – PHM Corporate Team
- Participant Support – Hotel Human Capital Manager / Department Head
Roles & Responsibility of each stakeholder of the program is determining as follows:
- Program Owner – PHM HOTELS
- Supervisory the progress of the program
- Support the implementation
- Program Facilitator – VP Human Capital
- Overseeing and monitoring the Management Development Program
- Ensure that tasks assignment is provided for participant
- Evaluate progress based on of the participant’s overall skills
- Participant – The staff who is attending the program
- Ensure to attend all of the training and activities schedule accordingly.
- Ensure all task assignments are completed by the appropriate deadlines according to the training schedule.
- Provide progress updates and report to HRM and Corporate Office (Chief of Human Capital).
- At the end of each course each participant will meet with an intended supervisor to complete relevant sections of the competency.
- Participant Support – 3rd Party
- Develop a mentor relationship with the participant.
- Provide support and guidance to the participant.
- Provide updates to Corporate Office about Participant’s end of course Progress
- Ensure Objectives and Management Performance Review is completed on time.
- Conduct monthly briefings with the participant to elicit constant feedback as to his or her progress.
- 3rd Party will meet the participant on a monthly basis to discuss general progress and project completion.
- Participant Facilitator
Hotel Human Capital Manager
- Work with the 3rd party to design an objective and an appropriate training calendar.
- Provide task assignments to Corporate Office about the participant’s progress
- Assist the participant with any questions regarding the contract and training program.
- Regularly monitor the progress of the participant with regards to the Management Competencies.
- Control the direction and implementation of the program.
Department Head / HOD
- Assist with designing the training calendar, in conjunction with the General Manager, Human Resources Manager and participant.
- Brief all staffs regarding the participant’s appointed role in the property.
- Regularly monitor the progress of the participant in regard to the Management Competencies.
All participants must coordinate with the General Manager, Human Capital Manager and Department Head in order to achieve an efficient workflow and ensure that all departments are working on the same time frame according to the training schedule.
